Bob Johnson advocates on behalf of utility customers and small providers in complaints, rulemakings, and other proceedings before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission and the Indiana appellate courts.

 

In recent cases, Bob has:

 

• Successfully represented a small real estate investor who had been overcharged by a natural gas marketer through a complex series of transactions;

• Successfully represented a solar energy developer and a dozen customers who had been unfairly treated by their local electric utility in interconnection and compensation to the local distribution network;

• Successfully represented a major steel producer in obtaining fair terms and prices from its electric provider;

• Successfully represented a small, insolvent sewer utility and negotiated its purchase by an adjacent city with no rate increase for customers;

• Successfully represented the state’s largest environmental group in pushing for fundamental and lasting reforms to the manner in which electric power plants are planned in the state;

• Successfully represented a small telecommunications provider against an attempt by a larger provider to escape fair payment for service.
